- That’s up slightly from 15% last week, its previous peak.
- Second week in the top three and first at #1 for the recall metric, after placing #3 last week.
- Jason Statham stars in the action thriller about a deep sea rescue diver tasked with saving the crew of a submersible trapped at the bottom of an ocean — surrounded by a giant 75-foot-long shark species previously believed extinct.
Dog Days (LD Entertainment)
Wednesday, August 8 [yesterday]
- 13% of moviegoers (135 respondents) saw and recalled this trailer, its highest score to date.
- That’s up from 8% last week, its previous peak.
- First week in the top three for the recall metric, after ranking #8 last week.
- The comedy follows the lives of unrelated people in Los Angeles whose lives intersect as a result of their pet dogs.
Crazy Rich Asians (Warner Bros.)
Wednesday, August 15
- 12% of moviegoers (132 respondents) saw and recalled this trailer.
- That’s down from 14% last week, its peak.
- Even though the recall percentage was down, the film enters the top three for the first time, after ranking #4 last week.
- The romantic comedy follows a New York City woman unaware that her boyfriend is fabulously wealthy and considered one of the most eligible bachelors in Singapore.

- 86% positive interest score, its peak to date and up from 72% last week.
- 45% of respondents said they were “definitely” interested.
- The film spends its second nonconsecutive week in the top three and first at #1.
- Interestingly, the film ranked in 10th place by positive interest last week. No readily apparent explanation for the sudden huge jump to #1.
- Melissa McCarthy stars in the R-rated comedy about a world in which humans and talking puppets coexist.
Alpha (Sony)
Friday, August 17
- 78% positive interest score, up from 74% last week but down from a 91% peak last month.
- 34% of respondents said they were “definitely” interested.
- The film spends its second nonconsecutive week in the top three, after ranking #6 last week.
- The action adventure follows a teenage boy during the Ice Age and his relationship with a lone wolf abandoned by its pack.
Searching (Sony)
Friday, August 24
- 78% positive interest score, up from 73% last week but down from a 93% peak last month.
- 25% of respondents said they were “definitely” interested.
- The film spends a third nonconsecutive week in the top three, after ranking #8 last week.
- John Cho stars as in this thriller a father searching for his missing teenager daughter using her laptop and other digital devices.
